Full information

Roadford Lake sits within the stunning surroundings of the Wolf Valley, on the edge of Dartmoor between Okehampton and Launceston. One of the biggest and busiest inland waters in the South West, the lake is surrounded by a variety of natural habitats and an abundance of flora and fauna.

Nature trails, footpaths and off-road cycle trails offer visitors the opportunity to appreciate the peaceful beauty of water, woodland and forestry on foot or bicycle. There are viewing points along the way with benches to rest your legs and enjoy a picnic. Make sure you visit the Jubilee Sundial, cob shelter and bird hide. Dogs are welcome on leads and there is also an enclosed dog exercise area.

Roadford Activity Centre offers a variety of watersports and land based activities, making it a haven for all sports fanatics. Whether you are in to sailing, windsurfing and kayaking or climbing, high ropes and archery, Roadford is a guaranteed fun day out for all the family.

Face your fears and swing like a monkey from the treetops on our 40 foot high ropes course, take part in our watersports taster sessions or even gain RYA and BCU qualifications. The possibilities are endless at this fantastic site. You can even launch your own craft or hire one of ours.
