Tamar Trails Festival

It’s been 20 years since the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) was designated. To celebrate this milestone, the AONB team have organised a 5-day Tamar Trail Festival from 26th to 30th August 2015 culminating  in a special day on Sunday 30th August, packed with family fun, local food, craft activities, a mini Bioblitz and much, much more.  Please go to

Saltash Regatta and Waterside Festival 2017

Saltash Regatta and Waterside Festival on 17th and 18th June 2017 is one of the most colourful events held in Cornwall and certainly for South East Cornwall is the most popular annual Regatta.

Gig racing, hosted by Saltash based Caradon Pilot Gig Club, is run to the highest standard with rowing on the Saturday, with a Flash Boat Regatta ran by Saltash Rowing Club on the Sunday.

Also on the river you'll find sailing, canoeing, swimming and following on after the success of its inaugural year, this year sees the return of the cardboard boat race on Sunday afternoon!

Cotehele (National Trust) The front of Cotehele House, Cornwall

Cotehele is a National Trust-owned Tudor house with extensive garden, orchards, estate, quay and working water mill. The garden and estate walks are open daily throughout the year. The house is open daily from April to the beginning of November. The mill is open every day from mid March to the end of October.

The Edgcumbe tea-room on Cotehele Quay is open daily from 11am to 4pm. After a brisk walk enjoy a light lunch and a glass of wine or an afternoon cream tea. Your dog is also welcome.
